After installing the 16A Quint HHO generator on our 2004 International 3400/DT466 rollback, I am happy to report many great things. First off, the idle has smoothed out tremendously. The power has much improved since the installation of the generator, so much so our tow truck driver’s fight over driving the truck! After running the truck three weeks, we have logged 6500 miles., and found the fuel mileage increased from a pre-hydrogen 8.0 mpg to 9.8 mpg, an increase of 23%. At the mileage this truck drives each year, we will be saving $6,500 per year at the current price of $2.70 per gallon! Return on our investment is only three months! The black smoke from the exhaust has completely disappeared, and the drivers are no longer complaining about the “diesel stink” of the exhaust while loading and unloading customer vehicles. Hopefully over the next month I will report back pre-generator and post-generator HC and PM readings, as well as pre and post dyno numbers.
